The Passing of the End of the Age and the Coming of the New Era

Main Reference: Rv 21

What is the meaning of “the passing of the end of the age and the coming of the new era?” It means that an era which was once created comes to an end and a new era is created. This happens because the former era becomes obsolete due to its corruption, and there is a need to open a new era of righteousness.

God created Adam and all creation. He gave Adam all creation and had him govern them, but the world of Adam became corrupt. So God appointed Noah, a righteous man among the 9th generation of Adam (Gn 6 ~ 7), and wiped away the world of Adam with a flood. However, the world of Noah became corrupt again through Ham, Noah’s second son. So God found Abraham (Gn 15), Noah’s 10th generation, and promised that He will wipe away Canaan, the world of Noah. He then appointed Moses and guided the people through the exodus. And through Joshua, He conquered the land of Canaan. The Israelites who entered the land of Canaan broke the covenant that they had made with God (Ex 19:5-6), just like Adam (Hos 6:7). God forewarned of Israel’s end of age through the Old Testament prophets and sent Jesus to end Physical Israel, the Law of Moses, the prophets, and the prophecies (Lk 16:16, Mt 11:13) and to preach the gospel of God’s kingdom. This is the work of Jesus at the First Coming.

The gospel of heaven and the prophecies that Jesus proclaimed lasted until his second coming, the time of Revelation’s fulfillment. Again, Spiritual Israel, the prophecies, and the prophets, in other words, the pastors, come to an end. People will then gather to the promised kingdom, the new heaven and earth.

The last prophecy and fulfillment of God’s 6,000 year-long work, as shown in the 66 books of the Bible, are unprecedented events. Today is the era when that prophecy is fulfilling and when the era of Jesus’ gospel that lasted for the past 2,000 years comes to a conclusion.

At this time, the previous era comes to an end and the events of the end of age in Revelation fulfill. Furthermore, the betrayers and the destroyers from the events of Revelation end as well as the 6,000 years of Satan’s work. This is also the time when Satan, the dragon, is captured and locked up in the abyss and God comes to reign. God’s will and purpose accomplish and the believers’ hopes come true. What God promised Physical Israel in Exodus 19:5-6 was that they would become God’s kingdom and priests and a holy nation if they keep the covenant.

In the same way, it is written in Revelation, “To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever!” Compared to the promise of Moses’ time, this promise has an additional content: “He has freed us from our sins.”

If the people at the time of Moses kept the covenant of God, God wouldn’t have had to make a new covenant again. However, now is the time when God’s new covenant—the new work, the rebirth, and the fulfillment of Revelation—will be completed.

The so-called end of age that all religions on earth have been anticipating is happening today. True salvation and the “favorable season of ringing out the old year and ringing in the new” are also happening today. Everything ends—the work of Jesus’ first coming, the prophecies, the prophets, the pastors, and the churches. This is the end of the world (end of age) God promised in the Bible, where betrayal, destruction, and all religions and denominations pass away. Now is the time when the covenant is fulfilling, when a new era, a new kingdom, a new pastor, and new people are born. The kingdom promised in Revelation is “the kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people” (Dn 2:44). It is also written that, “The Son of Man (the one like a son of man) came with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed” (Dn 7:13-14). This is fulfilling today.

The one who truly believes in God’s promise will find strength.

(Rom 8:18-23)
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that[a] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. 22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.”

All creation has been groaning and waiting for this day. This is the time when Revelation is fulfilling and a new era is beginning. It is not like the time of Noah, Moses, or Jesus’ first coming, because God is fulfilling His promise for the last time.

This era is no longer the time to receive and enjoy wealth and honor as man had done until now, nor is it a time to receive sufferings on this earth. It is a time to receive either eternal life or eternal punishment. Those who help with God’s work will receive eternal life, but those who interfere with His work will receive eternal punishment. This is heaven and hell.

An era comes to an end if it becomes corrupt. God has been working to save sinners, even going as far as sacrificing His one and only son, but there will still be people who betray, people who are lazy, and people who are insensitive to the work of God.

How corrupt have they become? As it is written in Matthew 24:29 and Revelation 6:12-16, they became corrupt and fell from heaven to earth. This is the end of the world, the “end of the age.” They used to belong to heaven but fell to the earth; they started with the holy Spirit but returned to flesh like Adam, becoming the enemies of God (Rom 8:6-7). They are the sun, moon, and stars, the chosen people of God, who became corrupt and received destruction as a result of betraying.

The Bible says, “If anyone does not have the spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ” (Rom 8:9). Because they do not have the spirit of Christ, they are guided by the spirit of Satan to persecute the believers who work for God. How can this not be corruption?

Just as the pastors of Jerusalem persecuted the prophets and Jesus during the Old Testament and First Coming, the pastors of the traditional church today, the time of Revelation’s fulfillment, persecute also. Words cannot describe the extent of their persecution. However, the promised pastor of Shincheonji has overcome all persecution, temptations, false doctrines, and authorities with the truth. And he has come out victorious in the war against the group of Satan because of the word of testimony and the blood of Jesus.

What kind of world is being created now? A world of paradise where there is “no more death, mourning, crying or pain” is in the process of forming according to Revelation 21.

What kind of people can enter this paradise? It is God’s kingdom and priests who are freed from their sins by the blood of Jesus. It is also those who keep the promise written in the Bible, those who do not add or take away anything from Revelation, those who are born of God’s seed, who are harvested and sealed, and whose names are written among the twelve tribes of God’s new kingdom.

However, those who add or take away from the fulfillment of Revelation, those who are obnoxious and arrogant, those who tell lies for the purpose of persecuting others, those who persecute, the enchanters, the magicians and dogs who write commentaries of the Bible cannot enter heaven, the holy city. The weeds are those who have not been born of God’s seed but the devil’s seed. They are not harvested or sealed and do not belong to the twelve tribes, and thus, they cannot enter the holy city.

In the holy city is the tree of life, which one can eat from and gain eternal life. It bears twelve crops of fruit and yields its fruit every month.

Not a single person who is wicked and labors for their flesh, honor, authority, and money will receive salvation, like the time of Adam. Receiving salvation or not is a matter of going to hell or to heaven where God is at. The salvation and heaven described in Revelation fulfill here on earth. It is a place where only those who are born of God’s seed are gathered. There is no one who is born of the lineage of sinners. It is a place where all creation will be healed again into a beautiful image, a beauty that cannot be expressed with words. It will be the same for man. As we have seen since the time of Adam, we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed. The world that we will live in will be a peaceful world without hate and pain.

All creation and people have waited for the time of Revelation’s fulfillment. This is when all things that God promised will be fulfilled. God’s will and purpose and our hope are on the very peace found in the eternal paradise. The life in heaven, which we have desired and longed for, has come. It is a paradise that cannot be compared with anything in the world. Now that the era we have been waiting for has come, let us believe and keep the promise as the people of Shincheonji.

We have believed and have carried out a life of faith to this day according to the word of God, the Bible. What do we believe in? We believe in the promises written in the Bible. The main points of the promise are the work of betrayal, destruction, and salvation. It is eternal life and heaven. If we do not perceive or believe when the promise fulfills, our faith would be in vain. Jesus told to us to recognize and believe when the words of promise become flesh (physical fulfillment) and appear in reality (Jn 14:29).

Today is that day, and all the promises that were made have fulfilled. Let us believe and enter heaven and eternal life.

Amen!
