The Reason God Created the Heavens and the Earth, and the New Heaven and the New Earth

Main reference: Rv 21 (Gn 1, Ex 25, Mt 6:10)

What is the creation of the heavens and the earth, as well as the creation of the new heaven and the new earth by God and how are they different from each other?

There are the two kinds of creation. One is the creation of the spiritual realm, and the other is the creation of the earth (the physical realm) as it is in heaven. When the work of the new creation takes place in the spiritual realm, new creation happens on earth as well. This is because the owner of creation is God.

Genesis 1 and 2 speak about the creation of a new heaven and a new earth. In other words, ever since Adam and Eve committed sin 6,000 years ago, all creatures in heaven and earth have been under the ownership of Satan and have been corrupted into the image of Satan, so that God must create heaven and earth all over again. So far, all people of the world have been sinners since they were born of the sinful gene of Adam. In respect to Revelation 18, all nations fall by drinking the wine of adultery of Satan, therefore it is reasonable for God to create heaven and earth once again.

For such a reason, it is written in Rv 21 that “…then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.” The first heaven was put to an end because of sin, whereas the new thing is the new heaven and the new earth, that are free of sin and born of God’s seed and spirit (refers to Heb 9:28). In conclusion, the first and the second things are different. Also, the owner is different. The owner of the first thing was Satan, yet the owner of the new thing is God.

Ever since Adam’s sin, God has been working for the restoration and the re-creation (refer to Jn 5:17) of the world. He destroyed the world of Adam by flood and established the world of Noah. And due to the sin of Noah’s world, He created the world of Abraham; that is, the world of the Law of Moses, the physical Israel. However, He demolished physical Israel, the world of Solomon, the king of physical Israel who sinned (1Kgs 11), and established spiritual Israel, the world of Jesus Christ. God was with Jesus fulfilling the Old Testament through him, and made another promise through blood, which is the New Testament.

As we understand through the Bible, God has been working continually from the time of Adam. He has been aiming to establish His kingdom and His people, which are the heaven and the earth in accordance with His will.

The message that is recorded through Moses records that God set forth the Law (Ex 24:12, Lv 26:46, Jn 1:17) and Jesus came to earth to fulfill the Law (Mt 5:17) and not to abolish it. The Law acts as an elementary school teacher (Gal 3:24) who leads people to Christ. This proves to us that God has been working towards fulfilling His objective since the time of Adam. His ultimate purpose is the fulfillment of the New Testament. Just as He fulfilled everything in the Old Testament (Jn 19:30), He will fulfill everything in the New Testament just as He promised He would (Rv 21:6).

The difference between Revelation in the New Testament and the promises and fulfillments in the past is that the past incidents were aiming at fulfilling a future event, whereas the New Testament is to complete God’s promise and objective for the entire 6,000 years. Consequently, these events are the Alpha and the Omega of God’s work. The time of the fulfillment of Revelation of the New Testament can be distinguished from the past in that this is the time when the dragon is captured and locked up and God is victorious.

Jesus said, “Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” Jesus, who was victorious (Jn 16:33) during his First Coming, fulfilled things in heaven, and today, in the Second Coming era, he conquers both in heaven (spiritual realm) and on earth (physical realm), which is the new heaven and the new earth (Rv 12:7-11, 6:2). This is (the logic) how the dragon is captured and his world is put to an end and the world of God is created (Rv 20:1~3, 19:6).

This is the reason that we are warned not to add to or subtract from Revelation, which is the new covenant established by blood (Rv 22:18-19). In Revelation, the generation of Jesus’ First Coming, conveyed as tradition, is over, and the new generation of the Second Coming has begun. The former world comes to an end and a new heaven and a new earth in the new generation is created.

Two thousand years ago, at the time of the First Coming of Jesus, physical Israelites only stuck to their own wisdom and law, and did not believe in the prophecies spoken by the Old Testament prophets sent by God. Also they persecuted Jesus since they did not believe that Jesus came according to the promise of the prophecies so ended up killing him. In the same way, people persist to remain as the spiritual Israel, whose end is promised in the book of Revelation since they do not believe in the word of the new covenant established by blood, that is, Revelation and prophecies of the four gospels, while believing that Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament in his First Coming. However, God ends spiritual Israel and creates the new spiritual Israel just as he ended the physical Israel according to His promise. This is the case when the tradition of the first heaven and the first earth is eliminated and a new heaven and a new earth are created. In other words, it is the creation of the new heaven and the new earth just as it is done in heaven (Rv 21) through the process of harvesting the first fruits born of the seed of the First Coming and sealing them as promised.

Therefore, the saint who wishes for salvation and heaven should find the place where everything is fulfilled according to the promises in Revelation. And first of all, they should learn and understand the true meaning of Revelation.

Those who do not understand the revelation of the New Testament, even if Revelation is fulfilled, do not believe in it, just like the Jews who did not believe in the fulfillment of the Old Testament at the time of the First Coming. Shincheonji Church of Jesus is the new heaven and the new earth created in accordance with Revelation 21. This is not the creation of the heaven and earth of the former generation, but the new heaven and the new earth that have been created today.

And this is the recreation of heaven and earth. The city walls of the holy city, the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven in Revelation 21, has 12 foundations and on them are the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. This means that the twelve disciples of Jesus are the foundations. This is not of the old, but the new city so it is called the new Jerusalem. Just as Moses built the tabernacle here on earth exactly in the pattern that he saw in heaven in the Old Testament, the creation of today is according to what has been shown from heaven (Mt 6:10).

Since Shincheonji Church of Jesus is named according to the promise of the New Testament (Rv 21:1, 15:5), this fact proves that it is the creation (recreation) of the promise of the Scriptures.

There is a place where God, the new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven, and Jesus come. According to Rv 3:12, it is to the one overcomes, and he becomes the New Spiritual Israel and establishes the 12 tribes as promised. This means that the will of God is done on earth as it is in heaven (Rv 21) .

Since God and the kingdom of heaven (the Spiritual Realm) came to the one who overcomes, whether they are the spirits of the dead or the living beings, no one can enter God’s kingdom without going through the one who overcomes. Those who do not believe in this word of promise are unbelievers and this is because they went over to Satan’s side. I pray that you become someone who will receive salvation by believing in the Word and the physical fulfillment of it.
