Main reference: Rv 22:13-16
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.
15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
What are the clothes of a person’s heart and mind? With what can they be washed and be worn? These clothes are referring to the clothes of one’s heart—not the physical that clothes one’s body. These clothes cannot be washed clean in a washing machine. The clothes of one’s heart and mind can only be cleansed by the water of life as clear as crystal that flows from the throne of God.
It is written in Isaiah 1:18 that God, with reasoning, will make a sinner white as snow. John 17:17-19 states that one is sanctified by the truth. Apostle Peter also said, “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God” (1 Pt 1:23). Therefore, the word of revelation from the holy God is the water of life as clear as crystal flowing from the throne.
Anyone can wash physical clothes, but who will go inside a person’s heart and mind and wash these clothes white? Inside a person’s heart and mind are the original sin, hereditary sin, personal sin, and countless other things all mixed into something that is formless, making the person’s heart empty. These stains cannot be washed with soap or lye. The mixed anguish that causes the formless confusion within a person entangles him. Such is a mixed color that appears as his thoughts and actions and covers the person’s original color. Because it is covered, the original color cannot shine through and be seen. Then, is it possible to make it white again? Yes. With what can it be cleansed?
For the past thousands of years, God made this known and firmly warned his people. Because Eve was made from Adam’s rib and Adam and Eve were originally one body, they felt no shame when they were naked (Gn 2:20-25). However, Eve was deceived by the snake to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. Her eyes opened and realized she was naked, so she went into hiding. She sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for herself. Who is this snake? What is the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil that the snake gave to Eve? Why did Adam and Eve not believe in the words of God, their Creator, and chose to believe in the words of the snake? As a result of eating the snake’s words, they realized their nakedness.
Two types of clothes are mentioned: physical clothes and the clothes of one’s heart. The title of today’s article is, “The Clothes of One’s Heart and Mind.” Who can enter a person’s heart and mind and wash away the mixed colors? Washing away the mixed colors from one’s heart and mind is washing away the stains of the mixed sins. Without first resolving that which is covered in sin, one cannot know other things. What can wash away the stains in his heart and mind? It is the very Word since the beginning.
As written in Genesis chapter 3, lies and wickedness are inside Satan’s words, but the true light and life are inside God’s words.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men.
5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
(1 Jn 1:1-2)
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.
2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.
(1 Pt 1:23)
23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
As mentioned above, the imperishable seed that one must be reborn of is the Word since the beginning, the very words of God. Because in the Word is life, not accepting this Word and throwing it away is equivalent to throwing away life. Throwing away this Word of life and accepting the snake’s words is like throwing away the seed of life and accepting the seed of wickedness, the perishable seed. That is how Adam and Eve’s living spirits which they had received from God died and returned to flesh, to their original form of dust.
The people within the 6,000 years of history, as shown in the Bible, have been born of Adam’s perishable genes, which are the snake’s perishable genes. They were sinners like Adam. As God, who is life, left these sinners, the spirit of death and of wickedness entered, and death began to reign.
God is not the God of such sinners. He specified in the New Testament that He accepts as His children those born of God–not born of the sinners’ natural descent or of human decision (Jn 1:12-13).
One becomes a new creation, a new person, by throwing away their old self (sinner) and being reborn of God’s seed. By doing so, he can attain the qualification to call the true God “Father” and the qualification to live in God’s house, Heaven, as part of His family. However, if one is insensitive to the current state of their organization and of man’s inner character, and has no concern for God’s true will and policies, how is he a true believer? Can he be considered as a believer with faith and who acts according to the Bible which he had received from God? If God’s will is that His people be reborn of His seed and Spirit, then it must be done.
A person born of the genes of a transgressor may seem kind and obedient, but he is not a child of God and has yet to gain the qualifications to receive God’s inheritance. He may be a slave, a forced worker, but not a son who will receive the inheritance. Those born of God’s seed and are guided by His Spirit are the sons who call God their Father.
Who can wash away the mixed filth stained on the clothes of a person’s heart and mind? With what can they be washed white? Two things can enter a person’s heart and mind: first, God’s Words of life that is living and active, and second, God’s spirit which is one with the Word since the beginning. God’s Spirit enters a heart that already contains the Word. When the spirit of God enters a heart that contains the Word of life, the rotting filth (sin) will be washed by the blood, which is life. Once washed, the person’s heart is white again back to its original color. This is how sin is washed by the word of Jesus’ blood. Such content is found in Revelation 7:9-14. Those who become the great multitude dressed in white by washing their sins with Jesus’ blood have become righteous. Therefore, Jesus who overcame and I are fulfilling the promises of the New Testament (Rv 21:6) just as Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament (Jn 19:30). Anyone who wishes can be washed white by Jesus’ blood and become the great multitude dressed in white.
On the contrary, the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) are going against our work—the work of washing the filth (sin) in people’s hearts—in every way possible, like the Pharisees and the teachers of the law at the First Coming.
Everyone must come before the Bible and discern between the work of CCK and the work of Shincheonji, and see which one is the promised work of God and which one is the work of the devil. Judge for yourself on which side God is standing and on which side the devil is standing. The true God, Jesus, and the Truth are all with Shincheonji. Read Revelation 3:12 and Revelation 3:21 and you will understand.
Because Jesus bore the cross on behalf of our sins, we have died and Jesus is living in our hearts (Gal 2:20). Jesus shed his blood for the forgiveness of our sins, and it takes into full effect at the time of Revelation. Read Revelation chapters 5, 7, and 12. Jesus overcame with the blood, purchased the kingdom and priests with the blood, and washed the great multitude dressed in white with the blood (Rv 12:10-11, 5:9-10, 7:9-14).
God and Jesus are the Word (Jn 1:1, 1 Jn 1:1), and Jesus’ blood is also Jesus’ words. Jesus is the Son of the Word, for he is the Son of God who is the Word. Jesus is the Word, because he had been born of the Word. In short, Jesus is life in itself and the Word that is living and active. This very blood of Jesus, which is the Word of life, enters our hearts to wash it back to its original color. That is why he said that one cannot enter the kingdom of heaven unless he is reborn of God’s holy Spirit and the water of life as clear as crystal (Jn 3:5, 1 Pt 1:23).
Let us be unclothed from our old selves, be reborn into a new person—a person of heaven—and live in the kingdom of heaven with the LORD of re-creation for eternity.
