What is the wine of adulteries in the New Testament (Rv17, 18)?
It is written in Revelation 18 that all the nations fell by this wine of adulteries and all who travel by ship in the sea, make their living with this wine. Today is the time of Revelation, which is the Second Coming of Jesus, so we must understand these things.
Within the Gospels, Jesus spoke in a parable concerning new wine being put into new wineskins, and old wine being put into old wineskins (Mt 9:17, Lk 5:37-38).
Jesus said that he is the true vine and his disciples are the branches (Jn 15:1-5). According to the parables, the spirit, which was likened to a bird, descended on Jesus and his disciples (Mt 3:16-17, Acts 2:1-4, 2:33).
Jesus called the teachers of the law and the Pharisees, who sat in Moses’ seat (Mt 23:2), “whitewashed tombs” and “snakes’ or “a brood of vipers” (Mt 23:27-34). God called the pastors (enemy) of Sodom and Gomorrah, vines which produced the venom of serpents and the deadly poison of cobras (Dt 32:31-33, (refer to Is 5:1-7)). From these scriptures we can understand that the vine is a man (pastor) and the wine is the words which flow from within him.
Let us examine together what Jesus said in Luke 17:26-30, concerning the time of his Second Coming being the same as the days of Noah and the days of Lot (when judging Sodom and Gomorrah), and the wine and wineskin.
The ‘new wine’ at time of the First Coming was the word of Revelation, which was proclaimed as the sealed book of old covenant (Old Testament) was opened, and the new wineskins were the new pastors (Jesus and his disciples). The ‘old wine’ at this time, was the rules and law taught by men, and old wineskins were the traditional pastors of that era.
Then, according to these things, what is the wine of adulteries?
It is written in the Bible that the kings of the earth committed adultery together with the prostitute of Babylon. It says the people on the earth have drunk the wine of her adulteries, all the nation fell by this wine, and all who traveled by ship in the sea dealt in this wine of adulteries and became rich (Rv 18). Babylon is a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird (Rv 18:2), where all the nations have married the devil (refer to Rv 18:23). If a pastor truly loves God, Jesus, and the life of the believers, as well as his own life, he should confirm the identity of the wine of adulteries, and the place which it comes from, so he keep the fellow believers from drinking this wine.
Grapes come from vines and wine comes from grapes. At his First Coming, Jesus was true vine and his words of Revelation were the true wine. Jesus made a new covenant with his blood saying, ‘I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s kingdom’ (Mt 26:26-29). Today, at the time of the Second Coming, Jesus gave the word of Revelation, the new wine, to the New John and commanded him to proclaim this word to the peoples, nations, languages and king. In other words, to all the churches in the world (Rv 10).
Today, God, Jesus and angels of heaven are with 12 tribes, the spiritual Mount Zion, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, which is the kingdom of God, promised in the Bible. They are with those who are sealed with the word of Revelation of Jesus (Rv 14:1-5; 15:2-5).
In contrast, the prostitute of Babylon, the kingdom of devil (false pastor like King Nebuchadnezzar, refer to Dn 4:20-22) and the one who has the ecclesiastical authority of the beast with seven heads and ten horns (pastors) are the wild vine of serpents, and their doctrines are the wine of adulteries. This prostitute, the pastor of the devil, is the one who married the devil (dragon), and those who create a group with him have become spiritual Babylon, the kingdom of the serpent. This spiritual nation of Babylon (beasts, false pastors), destroyed the believers who belonged to God’s tabernacle of Revelation 13. This tabernacle is the representation of Spiritual Israel, and its destruction is the same as saying all the nations fell by the wine of adulteries, the doctrine of Babylon.
In summary, the group of beast, who entered the tabernacle of God and destroyed the believers (Rv 13), is the spiritual nation of Babylon, the kingdom of devil, and the doctrine they testified is the wine of adulteries.
There are living witnesses who saw the actual events at the location of the fulfillment of the prophecies. They are the ones who fought against the beast which entered the tabernacle of heaven in Revelation13, overcame him and came out (Rv 15:2-5). Because this event has now occurred, and after that war, in revelation chapter 19 we can become people of heaven by being invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb, receiving the word of Revelation of Jesus, and by being born again through the testimony about the beast with seven heads and ten horns and wine of adulteries.
